The very talented artists at the glass factory have taken Brass Tong Bellflower Presses to a whole new level, offering so many new and wonderful flower designs never seen before in the lampworking industry. Notice the green leaves also in the pictures below. These are also offered in a brass tong press.

For leaf presses please click here.

Please keep in mind, these are handmade presses and may have slight imperfections, but nothing that can't be quickly worked out in the flame. At about 1/6 the price of other Bellflower Presses, I'm sure you will love them.

These are the stainless mandrels we use for the bellflowers and buttercups. Don't use bead release. Make the flowers right on the mandrels and then cut to length later. You will need the mandrel holder below if you use our mandrels when they become too short to hold by hand.

.75 mm thick 308LTIG stainless mandrels.  (22 gauge, .030") 12 inches long.  The nice thing about 308 stainless vs. stainless wire is that the 308 is stiffer, easier to use with the presses. 15 mandrels. $2.99

1.2 mm thick 308L TIG stainless mandrels. (17 gauge, .045") 10 mandrels about 11 inches long for $2.99

Hollow stainless mandrel holder, ideal for making bellflowers and buttercups using the presses below. 6 inches long. Holds up to a 3/32" mandrel. The mandrel slides inside the hollow handle. $6.99

How to use Bellflower and Buttercup presses: Use a bare metal mandrel or wire, preferably stainless. Melt your glass right on the bare metal very end, and insert into the side slot of the press. Squeeze!! Pull out your flower. It may take a bit of practice, but in no time you'll be making beautiful little flowers attached to a stainless stem. Clip the mandrel and round the end into a loop.  :)

Bellflower and Buttercup presses are about 3/8 to 1/2 inch wide.

Head Pins also work great with these presses. They are pretty cheap on eBay. Here's a link: eBay head pins It's best to get the longer ones and use an alligator clip or some other type of holder.
